A delicious and unique wine made from Albariño grapes grown in Wales. The grapes were left on the skins for 30-550 days, and then fermented in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, where it aged on its natural yeast for ten months. Unfiltered, unfined, and with no additional sulphur. On the nose, you can expect to find aromas of orange, lemon, and grapefruit, as well as hints of spice and earthiness. The palate is dry and refreshing, with moderate acidity and soft, well-integrated tannins, giving the wine a smooth and velvety texture. Everything is well balanced, with a long, lingering finish. Ancre Hill Estates is a family-owned and operated winery located in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire. The 12 hectares of vineyards are perfectly positioned on south-facing slopes close to the border town of Monmouth and the Wye Valley. The estate utilises traditional biodynamic and Organic Viticultural practices and is Demeter certified.
